    Responsibilities

    • Support solving of issues as they may occur from electrical and software viewpoints. This includes hands on vehicle work with diagnostic equipment and tools.
    • Debugs and fixes failed electronic components, mechanical and electrical assemblies, and software systems using test equipment and schematics.
    • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Manufacturing, compiles and keep up to date test specifications for new vehicle models and existing models. 
    • Work autonomously to support timely development of testing hardware and software.
    • Drive investigations for process issues leading to test failures and ensure upstream feedback and problem resolution, including mitigation and permanent solution.
    • Develop test plans according to software specifications and conducts software testing both on site and in the field.
    • Analyze and review electrical architecture for solving, validation, and root cause analysis
    • Collects and evaluates test data and compiles into report(s). Understand and use data to support the development team to resolve operational issues and introduce new design modifications. Evaluates test specifications and process for opportunities to revise and improve.
    • Contribute to software and system engineering design/development activity and related problem solving
    • Validate software and system performance is meeting customer expectations in actual field conditions
    • Interact with customers in the field and document issues they are experiencing and any improvements suggestions they have.
    • Compiles and maintains test-related documentation including test plans, procedures, results, and reports.

    The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $127,000 annually (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or other Engineering field. 
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive)

    OR 

    • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or other Engineering field. 
    • Minimum of 6 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive) 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Ag/Off-highway equipment and or an Agriculture background
    • Experience solving complex technical problems and delivering solutions with a preferred focus on vehicle testing systems, vehicle communication protocols, programming, and diagnostic tools. 
    • Proven written and oral communication with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
    • Experience or interest with software and controls of mechanical systems with a basic understanding of software development.
    • Good knowledge of electronic components and communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
    • Proficiency in electrical and software tools such as CANalyzer, service tools, basic electrical tools
    • Knowledge of wiring harness design and associated components
