    The Manufacturing Testing & Diagnostics Engineer is responsible for in-process and End of Line (EOL) diagnostic and testing for components and vehicles, knowledgeable of lean production principles, driving change through technological improvements in manufacturing processes & product quality control.

    This position will be ideally located in: Burr Ridge, IL or Racine, WI.  Other CNH US locations may be considered.

    Responsibilities

    • Implement in-process or end-of-line procedures and equipment for testing hydraulics and electronics functionalities in production subgroups and complete vehicles at the manufacturing plants for both current and new products.

    • Perform deep dive analysis of testing procedures and the related software and hardware equipment integrated in the plants’ production system considering the application innovative technologies as AI, digital instrumentation, vision guidance and inspection.

    • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Validation (Technologies & Quality, Digital & Precision Solutions) and Manufacturing, compiles and keep up to date test specifications for new vehicle models and existing models.

    • Work autonomously to support timely development of testing hardware and software, granting cost and productivity targets from selection, throughout procurement, into installation and commissioning at the assembly plants.

    • Drive investigations for process issues leading to test failures and ensure upstream feedback and problem resolution, including mitigation and permanent solution.

    • Effectively support the development of other resources (both at plants and in the central team) by training and coaching allowing them to grow in terms of both technical know-how and autonomy.

    Annual Base Salary Range for this role: $84,000 USD - $139,000 USD (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related technical field with minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment (preferably automotive) solving complex technical problems and delivering solutions with a preferred focus on vehicle testing systems, vehicle communicaton protocols, programming and diagnostic tools.  In lieu of Bachelor's degree will consider Associate's degree with minimum of 7 years' experience in manufacturing environment solving complex technical problems and delivering solutions or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the subject matter field.
    • Working knowledge of lean production systems; kaizen and application of problem-solving techniques.
    • Ability to interact and collaborate with different levels within the organization.
    • Ability to travel up to 30% (primarily domestic).
