Responsibilities

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll perform electrical design, development, and evaluation of vehicle and precision electronics products, assemblies, systems, and processes from concept through production stage, and make modifications as needed. 

• Research, develop, and evaluate design concepts including components, specifications, equipment, or machines.
• Design and develop circuits and PCB assemblies.
• Design with latest high-performance processors and DRAMs.
• Develop and plan hardware including layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build and test.
• Perform or facilitate installation/testing related to the product, system, or process to meet Environmental/EMI/ESD/Safety requirements.
• Verify embedded firmware and higher-level software on the hardware.
• Perform or facilitate installation/testing related to the product, system, or process.
• Work with project management to generate and update product design and development schedules.
• Determine purpose, application, and feasibility of new or enhancement of existing products or processes.
• Create and update documentation for designs, and all phases of the project.
• Work with external customers, distributors, vendors, or suppliers to initiate new designs and solve problems.
• Coordinate engineering efforts and provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers.

This position pays - $93,000 - $142,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

• Experienced engineer with 5+ years of career experience, with Bachelor's degree. 3+ years experience with Master's degree. 1+ years experience with PHD. Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Previous experience designing electronics boards with embedded microcontrollers/microproccessors.
• Previously completed projects through manufacturing, either OEM or contracted
• Strong background with CAD tools for schematic and layout of PCBs, Altium or Mentor Graphics experience preferred
• Able to understand SerDes and high-speed interfaces like Ethernet, PCIe, eDP, USB etc
• PI and SI analysis knowledge and use of relevant simulation software knowledge a big plus
• Firmware level knowledge and experience, including bringing up boards and troubleshooting.
• RF design, simulation and testing (Bluetooth, WiFi) experience a huge plus.
