    Position summary

    andardization across regions. You'll bridge the gap between infrastructure capabilities and business requirements, with an equal focus on operational excellence and technical innovation. You will also drive the transformation of traditional storage infrastructure into a modern, automated, and standardized environment across the global organization.

    Other key responsibilities include:

    • Leading the development and execution of global storage and archive strategy

    • Establishing and enforcing standardized deployment and configuration practices across all regions

    • Defining and implementing storage tiering standards based on application requirements

    • Managing enterprise storage platforms including Dell SAN (Isilon, PowerMax, PowerScale, ECS, VNX), Rubrik backup solutions, and Nutanix NUS

    • Staying current with emerging storage technologies and industry trends

    • Driving automation initiatives for storage provisioning, monitoring, and self-healing capabilities

    • Developing and implementing change management strategies for storage and backup infrastructure transformations

    • Creating storage migration plans that minimize business impact and ensure data integrity

    • Leading communication strategies for storage and backup related changes across all regions

    • Creating and maintaining architectural documentation for storage and backup solutions

    • Overseeing the design and implementation of storage and backup solutions that align with business requirements

    • Ensuring standardized storage provisioning for all platforms

    • Establishing and monitoring KPIs for storage performance and utilization

    • Managing strategic partnerships with key vendors e.g. Dell, Nutanix and Rubrik

    • Ensuring all storage solutions adhere to security and compliance policies

    • Managing the budget for global storage and archive initiatives, renewals and licensing

    • Allocating resources effectively to support operational teams and new projects

    • Building and leading distributed teams of storage engineers across EMEA, NA, and AU regions

    What will you bring to the role?

    • Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, application development, security, cloud engineering, and business stakeholders to understand and meet their storage and data protection requirements
    • Strong people management experience
    • Proven success in building collaborative relationships across global teams, effectively influencing technical decisions, constructively challenging storage and backup design proposals, and responding professionally to technical scrutiny from peers
    • Experience with Dell Technologies Portfolio: PowerMax, PowerScale, ECS, VNX, Isilon etc., HCI Solutions: Nutanix, Storage Networking (FC-SAN, iSCSI, NVMe-oF etc.) and File Systems (NFS, SMB/CIFS, Object Storage (S3))
    • Experience with Enterprise Backup: Rubrik, Data Lifecycle Management (On-Prem and Public Cloud), Archive and Retention Policies, Tape Management Systems (if applicable) and Disaster Recovery Solutions
    • Experience with Hypervisors: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, Container Storage: CSI, Persistent Volumes, Cloud Storage Integration, Storage Automation and RESTful APIs, Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Storage Orchestration and Storage Monitoring and Alerting
    • Experience in Storage Performance Analysis, Capacity Planning and Forecasting, Monitoring Tools Integration and Storage Analytics and Reporting
    • Experience in Data Protection Technologies, Encryption (at-rest and in-flight), Storage Access Control and Audit and Compliance Tools
    • Experience in the following:
      • Scrum, Kanban, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)

      • Azure DevOps

      • Microsoft Power BI

      • ITIL framework, ServiceNow

      • KPI development and tracking, OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework, Balanced Scorecard

      • Financial modelling, ROI calculation, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis

      • Vendor contract negotiation, SLA management, Strategic partnership development

      • Design thinking, Lean startup methodology, Innovation workshops facilitation

    Bonus points if you have:

    • Any of the following technical/professional certifications:
      • Azure Certifications

      • AWS Certification

      • Dell EMC Implementation Engineer (EMCIE), Dell EMC Platform Engineer (EMCPE), Dell EMC Certified Architect (EMCCA)

      • Rubrik Certified Professional, Rubrik Certified Architect

      • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), Nutanix Platform Professional (NPP)

      • BCS Foundation Certification in Agile

      • PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

      • ITIL Foundation
