    A role you will love

    As the Database Administrator, you will be working within the Service Operations department. Your team is responsible for providing technical support of the database technologies and systems across our operational region. You will have the opportunity to work with global counterparts for regional alignment.

    Other Responsibilities include:

    • Own and resolve database related incidents and requests

    • Fulfil requests and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs

    • Review service-related reports and notifications

    • Complete database backups, maintenance, and monitoring

    • Respond to database related alerts and escalations

    • Engineer solutions to recurring problems

    • Ensure Database Systems are highly available and comply with global and regional standards

    • Provide project support, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure a high level of service

    • Build and migrate database environments according to standard templates and best practice

    • Identify and work with CTS and business teams to implement process improvement

    • Any other reasonable activity including supporting and assisting with system upgrades

    What will you bring to the role?

    • Minimum of 4 years of Production Oracle DBA experience

    • Strong experience in Oracle 12c, 19c administration on Exadata RAC

    • Experience in building new databases and upgrading/patching existing ones

    • Hands-on experience in cloning and refreshing non-production databases

    • Experience working with monitoring tools such as OEM Enterprise 13c Cloud Control, Toad, Fog light etc.

    • Experience working with RMAN backup recovery, export/import (data pump) utilities and configure backups per company standards

    • Good knowledge of replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Golden Gate

    • Solid experience in automating administration tasks using Linux shell scripting, Cron

    • Strong ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively within a team

    • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems in a timely fashion

    • Good communication and documentation skills

    • Strong knowledge of Oracle Appliances (ODAs, Exadata)

    • Solid experiencing working with Oracle RAC, Oracle Grid, and Oracle Multitenant technologies and ability to troubleshoot and configure within these

    Bonus points if you have:

    • Working knowledge of Linux administration skills

    • Experience working in large estate, multi-domain organizations

    • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system

    • Oracle DBA certification

    • Ability to perform basic PL/SQL development and provide tuning recommendations to developers and users

    • Experience with Rubrik Enterprise Backup software

    • Experience in AWS RDS

    • Experience working with Windows servers, Active Directory and Kerberos authentication

    Compensation. The typical base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $125,000 per year USD.
