Continental Tire has been around for nearly 150 years, we've been changing the way the world moves while making it more safe, smart, sustainable and accessible to all. Our Clinton, MS, location is seeking a Tire Uniformity Technician to join our manufacturing team.

The Tire Uniformity Technician will ensure maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality of finished products with focus on Tire Uniformity, Imbalance and Geometry.
Core Responsibilities
Ensure the use of correct uniformity and geometry limits according to QM Central and OEM requirements.
Ensure that the correct tire markings (OE and Replacement) are applied based on the PoMS document and Customer Specific Requirements.
Participate in yield improvement activities by monitoring daily warehouse and TU/TG yields and trends.
Initiate shift trouble-shooting activities in case of major uniformity issues. Participate in corrective actions.
Participate in activities regarding customer satisfaction with regards to tire uniformity complaints and co-ordinate preparation of 8D reports, when required.
Ensure compliance to IATF 16949, legal, customer and internal requirements as required in his / her area.
Ensure implementation and adherence to Central QM policies and procedures concerning tire uniformity and tire geometry
Assist in plant procedures and work instructions regarding TU and TG testing
Assist in daily and monthly Yield reports
Ensure control tires are produced, tested, analyzed and actions are taken as necessary.
Ensure that daily/shift functionality tests are performed with the standard tires and corrective measures are performed where deviations are found.
Assure appropriate frequency and quality of vector separation (de-coupling) and optimization
Assist in annual Central QM cross check exercise (preparation, test activities, corrective actions).

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Associate's degree in Technical Field
1+ years of manufacturing experience or Bachelor Degree
Ability work nights and weekend as required by rotating shift pattern
Preferred Qualifications
Recent college graduate with Bachelor's degree in related field with relevant internship in manufacturing environment (classroom projects accepted in lieu of professional experience as a preferred requirement).
2-3 years working on team projects
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for up to 12 hours a day
Ability to bend, climb, squat, crawl, reach and twist frequently.
Ability to lift 20-75 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
