Position summary

FP&A Senior Manager / Manager – Management Reporting 

Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) is at a critically important juncture in the company’s lifecycle. CSOD is the world’s largest and most successful stand-alone unified Talent Management company and one of the world’s largest SaaS companies.  The company is entering a phase of achieving scale and global expansion through continued relentless execution.  

As a leader within the FP&A team, you will own and manage all aspect of Management Reporting internally to company stakeholders and externally to investors and debt holders. This role has significant impact on profitability reporting, budget vs. actuals reporting, cash/liquidity reporting, KPI/Metrics, forecasting and planning. This is a highly visible role that will interact directly with key business leaders and financial executives within the company, as well as external stakeholders

In this role you will...

  • Own and manage the current management reporting packages, seeking ongoing opportunities to improve, simplify, enhance and improve the process and information flows

  • Advise and provide strategic recommendations to the VP of Finance and CFO on the recommended tools and processes necessary to build a highly performing FP&A organization that will continue to grow and scale 

  • Act as a partner and thought leader to the VP of Finance and other members of the FP&A team as they develop Annual Operating Plans, Long Range Plans, and Quarterly forecasts in a dynamic and agile way

  • Develop regional reporting frameworks to support our team’s growth in both domestic and international marketplaces

  • Develop business unit specific reporting packages that support the company’s M&A playbook to acquire and integrate companies; developing the capability to report at segment level as well as the consolidated level

  • Enhance and improve the required tools that will support strong business planning and the corporate FP&A model, used by key stakeholders for strategic decision making.

  • Identify areas of operational inefficiency and driving cross-functional change to enhance efficiencies and eradicate ineffectiveness

  • Support and enhance CSOD’s business planning cadence and processes.

  • Own the overall process of managing, tracking and reporting key operating performance business processes including measuring and monitoring of key strategic initiatives

  • Enhance company operational effectiveness through a series of metrics, business and functional reviews, and reporting

  • Ensure the FP&A team is responsive to the needs of a complex global business, a growing organization and key internal and external stakeholders

  • Operating as a global business partner, cultivating positive business relationships with the senior executives and leadership teams, while partnering with other key constituents across functions

  • and being the rockstar you are, be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

You have what it takes if you have…

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in top-notch, progressive organizations

  • Experience building and leading financial management reporting efforts at scale

  • Strong strategic, presentation, and analytical skills (that are grounded in data) to ensure clear management reporting to enable strong decision making

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with proven ability to present complex business problems to Senior Management

  • Accomplished in the communication of complex financial concepts. Demonstrated ability to work as a business partner to an organization’s leadership team and across the company to improve business processes and decision-making

  • A successful track record of working in a collaborative environment by motivating peers and leading direct reports 

  • Good listener, demonstrating open and honest communication with the team, respecting their ideas and opinions, supporting learning and growth, and recognizing achievements

  • BA/BS in Finance, or closely related field – or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

  • Consideration for privacy and security obligations

Extra dose of awesome if you have...

  • MA, MS, MBA, CPA, CFA
  • Experience in or have lead a FP&A transformation
  • Have experience or exposure with recurring revenue models, such as SaaS/ Software business
  • Change Management experience
  • Salesforce, Netsuite and Anaplan experience.
  • Experience at a matrixed organization with $1B+ in revenue
