QA Engineer - EdCast (Remote, India)

In this role you will….

• Identify testing strategy for EdCast across various platforms like TXP, Marketplace, Widgets and Extensions with documented requirements.
• Write and maintain clear, concise and comprehensive test cases and test execution steps in a test tracking tool.
• Design, create and execute concurrency and regression test suites for new projects as well as existing systems.
• Maintain detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test documentations like test environment setup doc, feature parity doc, onboarding documents, feature demo presentations etc.
• Identify and track bugs and record and document them thoroughly.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing as needed.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
• Support team members and ensure established goals and deadlines are met.
• Be result oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action
• Ability to work on multiple initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Comfortable with ambiguity as needs change on a regular basis with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency 

You’ve got what it takes if you have…

• 2-5 years software QA experience. 
• 2+ years demonstrated experience designing test cases and execution strategies. 
• Minimum 6+ Months of knowledge in writing test automation scripts in Java with Selenium and/or Test automation tools like TestRigor, Test Project, Rain Forest etc. 
• Should have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with senior management, technical subject matter experts, and business customers. 
• Hands-on experience with black box testing and some knowledge of white box testing 
• Hands-on experience in Backend API Testing and Front-end UI Testing. 
• Experience in testing web apps hosted cross platform on mobile devices web browsers, widgets and extensions. 
• Familiarity with test engineering tools such as JIRA, Postman, GIT, and SQL 
• An understanding of software development/testing life cycle methodologies. 
• Knowledge of SQL query language and scripting

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus. 
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools to integrate the Automation scripts like Jenkins 
• Good to have experience in Testing Cloud hosted
