    Position summary

    The Special Projects Group Lead Analyst is part of the Special Projects Group in Cornerstone with key team responsibilities of solving complex problems and driving & delivering solution execution in partnership with cross-functional leadership across Cornerstone.  This group is a critical enabler of Cornerstone’s value creation thesis, working on prioritized strategic efforts in coordination with Executive leadership. This group is backed by the Board, sponsored by the CEO and directly reports to CFO on a day-to-day basis. This role is specifically designed to be at the center of Cornerstone’s execution of initiatives driving Cornerstone’s growth and optimization.  

    The Analyst, Special Projects Group will support the design and execution of strategic projects across the organization with a focus on data driven decision making to provide insights into our most challenging business problems. The ideal candidate possesses a compelling blend of big-picture thinking, project management skills / detail orientation, analytical mindset, creativity and an ability to collaborate with many internal and external partners.

    In this role you will…

    • Work on high profile initiatives for the Office of the CFO
    • Gather, extract, integrate, analyze, synthetize data from various sources, business domains, tools and convert that to valuable information that can be used to measure impact, identify risks and highlight areas of improvement
    • Drive compliance to data strategy, setting guardrails around data management and standards of data quality
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the business, cultivate cross-functional relationships and support the design and implementation of solutions for improvement
    • Balance timely and effective stakeholder communication and engagement across key strategic projects
    • Foster an enterprise culture of intellectual honesty, creativity, curiosity, and a deep respect for a data driven mindset

    You have what it takes if you have…

    • 4+ years of Data Analysis and Organizational Strategy focused professional experience
    • Expert in spreadsheet data analysis, modeling and basic coding (SQL, Java, etc.)
    • Proven experience in solving complex problems and navigating / driving transformation within complex business environments with multiple verticals and horizontal technologies
    • Able to synthesize business needs and questions, build conclusions, and articulate actionable recommendations.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to present all facts in an unbiased manner
    • View data and an organization from a broad perspective; able to see the overall structure, patterns, and how they interact and influence each other.
    • Think outside the box, resourceful and responsible for the pursuit of business objectives. 
    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, never settle for the bare minimum and always uphold the values and goals of your organization.
