    Position summary

    The role focuses on managing a globally distributed team of IT QAR Leads who are responsible for performing Quality Assurance Reviews (QAR) of the IT General Controls (ITGCs) that are tested in compliance with various global regulatory reporting requirements across all Divisions/Functions at the Bank (SOX, ViR and ESG).

    In addition to the QAR responsibilities, you will also support the program reporting that is required for each of the CFO regulatory reporting programs including Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX); Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG); and Valuation in Resolution (ViR). This includes Steering Committee (STC) and Board level communications.

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Drive IT application scoping for key regulatory reporting programs as described above, in order to better align scoping and minimize differences with Business scoping and external audit (as applicable).
    • Evaluate and classify IT control deficiencies in accordance with the framework to assess SOX impact for year-end reporting, and manage the remediation efforts for significant deficiencies in order to drive successful implementation of control improvement plans
    • Support the IT Division(s) (first line) with overall SOX framework/approach guidance and scoping requirements for required IT controls
    • Support SOX management reporting to the Division(s) through established periodic meetings with key IT partners and support the quality reviews of the final End of Year (EoY) signoff presentations
    • Manage the SOX due diligence reviews over third party organizations and act as the central point of contact for the IT Book of Work for our internal controls system, MARCS

    As head of the QAR team, you will be responsible for the QAR framework and overall design of the annual QAR program for all 3 key regulatory reporting programs. This is required to ensure confidence in the quality of the IT General Controls testing performed. QAR objectives include:

    • Compliance with the ITGC SOX framework
    • Design of testing addresses the IT risk appropriately and is sufficiently driven
    • Accuracy and completeness of the data captured in MARCS against program requirements (e.g. SOX, CAF, etc.)
