This position may be based out of Overland Park, KS, Columbus, OH, or Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Partner with local business units to analyze insurance underwriting criteria and evaluate risks
Liaise with insurance broker and insurer(s) to maximize coverage and minimize premium cost
Develop premium allocation methodologies and illustrate premium charges to business units
Utilize RMIS system to monitor insurance policy issuance and certificate of insurance processing
Focus on opportunities to expand digital capabilities for annual insurance renewals
Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
Always maintain professional demeanor while representing the company
Other duties as directed by management
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Finance
Minimum 3+ years of experience in corporate risk management or insurance brokerage
Proficient in Microsoft Office and RMIS systems
Professional designation preferred
Exposure to the building materials, construction, or manufacturing sectors preferred
Must be 18 years in age or older
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
Strong negotiation and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
