Conduct safety awareness training and communications annually and during new hire onboarding
Conduct authorized safety training as required
Participate in incident investigations and identification of corrective actions
Provide training for supervision in incident investigation and root cause analysis
Provide training on behavior based safety, track and communicate collected data
Drive participation by plant employees
Conduct risk assessments
Facilitate corrective actions for at-risk tasks
Update/upgrade training programs
Provide communications with all job classifications on safety awareness in the form of daily huddle topics, postings, etc.
Conduct ergonomic assessments for operations
Review and maintain safety programs and documentation for compliance with corporate policies/procedures
Provide technical assistance for all safety related plant programs
Participate in new project installation prestart up safety reviews
Identify nonroutine tasks and assist in planning and implementing risk reduction efforts
Provide assistance with environmental activities - stormwater pollution prevention and spill prevention, containment & countermeasures, recycling, etc.
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements
High school diploma/equivalent
Safety-related degree or certification (OSHA, NSC, ASSE) is a plus
Some experience in an industrial setting is preferred
Prior experience in training/public speaking preferred
Familiar with OSHA and federal and state regulations pertaining to safety, health and environmental issues
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
Strong written and oral skills
