    Position summary

    Job Responsibilities

    • Support operations with daily administrative tasks

    • Coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production

    • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments

    • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals

    • Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards

    • Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

    • Prepare charts, graphs, or diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, layouts, material handling, or machine utilization.

    • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions

    • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards

    • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other record and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs

    Job Requirements

    • Internship candidate - college student enrolled or recently graduated from a credited Engineering Degree program

    • Experience in Quarry or Mining industries a plus

    • Understanding of leadership skills and strong communication skills

    • Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to comprehend and communicate to others the requirements of technical specifications, regulations, reports, and manuals

    • Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data

    • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish fact and draw valid conclusions

    • Strong Computer Skills, specifically in Microsoft Office

    • Valid driver's license and reliable automobile

    • Willingness to drive to our multiple sites across the Greater Rochester Region and Southern Tier with mileage reimbursement program
