Job Responsibilities
Support operations with daily administrative tasks
Coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Prepare charts, graphs, or diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, layouts, material handling, or machine utilization.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other record and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
Job Requirements
Internship candidate - college student enrolled or recently graduated from a credited Engineering Degree program
Experience in Quarry or Mining industries a plus
Understanding of leadership skills and strong communication skills
Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to comprehend and communicate to others the requirements of technical specifications, regulations, reports, and manuals
Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish fact and draw valid conclusions
Strong Computer Skills, specifically in Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license and reliable automobile
Willingness to drive to our multiple sites across the Greater Rochester Region and Southern Tier with mileage reimbursement program
