    Are you ready to take your career to the next level? As an Estimating Manager at APAC-Asheville, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of construction projects, ensuring our continued excellence and reputation in the industry.

    What You'll Do:
    • Collaborate: Work closely with various departments to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects.
    • Analyze: Dive into project requirements, review proposal specifications, and determine the scope of work.
    • Lead: Take charge by preparing detailed estimates, conferring with field personnel, and maintaining comprehensive files for backup.
    • Communicate: Effectively share bid information and reports with field personnel, ensuring smooth project execution.
    • Innovate: Review design options and recommend the best solutions based on cost, quality, and material availability.
    • Manage: Oversee project progress, monitor costs, and implement mitigation strategies when needed.
    • Support: Assist other department personnel as required and ensure regular and timely attendance.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Guide: Assist in the interviewing and hiring process, plan and assign work, and boost subordinates' technical and leadership skills.
    • Coach: Manage employee performance through feedback, rewards, and discipline, and lead by example.
    • Evaluate: Conduct annual and new employee evaluations, address complaints, and resolve problems promptly.
    • Delegate: Utilize effective delegation, scheduling, and time management practices to get work done efficiently.

    Qualifications:
    To excel in this role, you should possess:
    • 7 to 10+ years of construction estimating experience
    • Previous team management experience preferred
    • Engineering degree or equivalent technical training
    • Experience with HCSS, B2W, and APEX preferred

    Knowledge/Skills Required:
    • Proficiency with estimating software
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts
    • Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
    • Professional ethics, tact, and courtesy in interactions with management, team members, vendors, and customers

    General Requirements:
    • Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations
    • Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends when necessary
    • Willingness to travel as required
