king r epairs to and maintaining construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, paving machines, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and other equipment by performing the following duties:
Responsible for preventative services on light, medium and large trucks
Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repair and maintenance, including brakes, suspension, steering components, electrical, some hydraulics, and some
specialty systems like cameras and proximity sensors or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Welds broken parts and structural members.

1-3 years related experience preferred.
Familiarity with light, medium duty trucks such as F250, F550, and F750
W elding experience preferred.
Hydraulic, pneumatic, & diesel repair, and fabricating experience preferred.
Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting ability preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
