Machine Operator - 2nd Shift - Hector, MN

• Sign in and check off on applicable quality control documents after performing necessary quality check tasks

• While handling product during various stages; packaging, sorting, clipping weighing, etc; reject any piece that is not of set quality standards

• Ensure all products packaged at every stage is of utmost quality, with the final stage being of the utmost importance

• Promptly report to floor supervisor when the machine you are assigned to is down

• Frequently do grinder checks to ensure proper granulating function

• Monitor employees in the assigned work team to ensure safety, quality and production standards are met

• Troubleshoot issues that may arise to keep line going and contact lead or supervisor if needed

• Assist in training team members on tasks

• Complete any necessary documentation and a clean organized work area

• Be a positive role model to the team members and keep an engaged team

• Ensure control plan is being followed and production line flow is operating at capacity

• Follow all safety rules, work instructions and work order processes

• Perform all duties in a safe manner. Always wear all PPE and follow all policies

• Report any safety issues or conditions to lead or supervisor

• During grinder checks, always ensure you grind in appropriate designated grinder and if a mistake occurs, shut the grinder off and report the incident immediately to your supervisor

• May work in conjunction with other supporting teams as needed to meet expected safety, quality, production and delivery requirements

• Will be the break relief team member

• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read the work orders and label's and understand ALL of its contents

• Ability to guide a team in an effective manner

• Ability to work with little direct supervision

• Must have good teamwork/communication skills

• Good reading and writing skills

• Production line experience, a plus

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $22-$25
