Job Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automation systems, electrical components, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic systems
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, utilizing knowledge of automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic principles
Install, configure, and calibrate automation systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, actuators, and other control devices
Conduct inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions proactively
Collaborate with production personnel and other maintenance team members to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and other relevant safety measures, to ensure a safe working environment
Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other record-keeping tools
Stay updated with advancements in automation technology, electrical systems, mechanical engineering, and hydraulic systems through ongoing training and professional development
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred
Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent training in maintenance millwrighting
Strong technical skills in automation systems, electrical systems, mechanical components, and hydraulic systems
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery and equipment
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and other relevant safety measures
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
