Job Responsibilities
Maintain a strong familiarity and understanding of all group Benefit Plan Designs (401k, Health, Rx, Dental, Vision, Disability Plans and Life Insurance)
Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and compliance related to Benefit Plans (ERISA, Cafeteria Plan Rules, COBRA, HIPAA)
Coordinate admin access, review access, and maintain updated access rights
Coordinate and provide essential BenAdmin training around health and welfare plans to the Benadmin, HR, and management
Assist with the preparation of company benefits communication materials
Answer employees benefit related questions, investigate issues and concerns, troubleshoot potential system issues
Assist with gathering information for appeals and claims inquiries
Assist with the oversight of data integrity between the various benefit systems
Maintain and update the Admin Reference Center benefit materials, contact lists, SOPs, and other administrative support documentation
Perform routine audits to verify the accuracy of critical data entered (i.e. SSN, dates, address, etc.)
Assist with audit and related corrections, and work to improve internal process to reduce future errors
Always maintain professional demeanor while representing the company
Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
Other duties and projects as directed by management
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related discipline OR equivalent experience
2+ years demonstrated experience working in a benefits / health & welfare administration
MS Word/Excel expertise
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Strong knowledge and understanding of employee benefit plans and compliance
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage expectations when dealing with policy exception requests and heightened sense of awareness around precedence setting when dealing with exception requests
