Maintain a variety of electronic and/or electrical controllers, systems, or instrumentation for various production or other machinery
Troubleshoot and diagnosing problems with PLCs, VFDs, and other electronic instrumentation and controls equipment
Recommends corrective action and expedites repair of systems
Program new equipment and making programming changes to existing PLCs, VFDs, and other electronic equipment
Adjust equipment to optimize operations, conferring with operating and/ or engineering personnel and supervisor
Perform repairs and/ or maintenance on equipment as needed
Design modifications to machine control systems in order to achieve established operational results
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Assist with any other duties as assigned
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrated knowledge of plant electrical and mechanical equipment, operations and predictive/preventative maintenance systems
Ability to design and layout electrical circuitry and troubleshoot electrical/ electronic components and systems
Knowledge of the correct application of systems and processes that ensure continuous improvement (safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, and manufacturing)
Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements
Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in PLC, electronics and/or computer maintenance at an advanced level
3+ years of maintenance experience
1+ year electronic maintenance experience
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams
Knowledgeable of computer and/ or applications programming
Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Occasional travel will be required
Industrial Plant environment
Frequent walking/ standing (6+ hrs/ day)
Lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds
Climbing of ladders
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $25 - $40
