    Position summary

    Wage: $20/hr

    Internship Duration: Summer 2025 (June 24-August 16)

    Essential Functions

    • Learn Quality Control methods and reporting procedures.

    • Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.

    • Learn paving process and density control.

    • Work to understand aggregate processing and quality conformance.

    • Assist with testing materials in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.

    • Identify and become familiar with various mix specifications requirements.

    • Communicate with other technicians regarding mix specifications and test results.

    • Report and communicate test results ethically, adhering to the company's Ethics Policy.

    • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must be a High School Junior or Senior (age 16+, to comply with BOLI requirements)

    • Must be available to work approximately 40 hours per week

    • Detail Oriented.

    • Ability to perform intermediate mathematical skills, including basic algebra.

    • Must have a current and valid driver's license.

    • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.

    • Must pass post offer pre-employment controlled substance testing.

    • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.

    Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions while observing various jobs.

    The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud when visiting work sites, personal protective equipment will be provided by our team. However, please provide your own pair of steel toed boots.
