Job Responsibilities
Perform all testing procedures per ASTM and company standards with documentation and analyzation of results
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce the number of defects, improve overall product quality and reduce costs through product testing
Conduct investigations on manufacturing processes, variances and product quality failures while suggesting implementation of corrective actions
Prepare colored product samples using a spectrophotometer
Evaluate and perform tests on raw materials for consideration of substitution or replacement
Preparation of materials and products for internal and external testing.
Maintenance and housekeeping of assigned areas and equipment.
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED or equivalent Vocational Training/Certification, other related experience or combination
Familiar with lab equipment
Strong working knowledge of ASTM requirements used in testing concrete, mortars and concrete repair products
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Highly organized, approachable, flexible and able to respond to changes in a dynamic environment
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft programs
Hands on approach with a mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and directions.
Knowledge of electronics and programmable controllers.
