Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining stock and availability of diverse product samples. Position may also be responsible for shipping samples out to customers or distributors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate the tile sample cutting saw
• Maintain sample boxes
• Conduct housekeeping duties of work area
• Coordinate mailing of samples and sample boards to customers
• Package samples appropriately to ensure samples reach the customer or distributor in good shape and condition
• Assemble sample boards for display and/or shipping
• Assist sales office as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements / Education / Experience

• GED or equivalent in experience in similar role
• Experience in manufacturing in a block, tile, or brick plant
• Experience and dexterity in safely operating saws and other manufacturing equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Physical Environment

• Ability to lift concrete products weighing up to 50 pounds each at heights from floor level to 4 ft high
• Intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, sitting, and standing
• Able to provide assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects
• Function in a workplace environmental condition including, but not limited to, cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts
• Able to work closely with others
• Have good depth perception, color discrimination, and peripheral vision
