In-line process analytics in mRNA manufacturing is crucial for optimizing production efficiency and yield, ensuring consistent quality throughout the manufacturing process. It enables the identification and implementation of innovative techniques to streamline manufacturing processes, leading to reduced costs and enhanced scalability. Additionally, it facilitates the rapid adaptation to evolving regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and maintaining product integrity.
Main Responsibilities
As a Process Development Co-Op, you will develop better understanding of sa-mRNA synthesis and purification process. Additionally, you'll be encouraged to actively participate in the diverse learning opportunities provided throughout the duration of the Co-Op program.
• FT-NIR method development: Developing an in-line quantification method tailored for sa-mRNA in-process analysis, while also acquiring proficiency in operating the FT-NIR instrument through hands-on learning experiences.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a fast-growing team of process scientists, biologists, and chemists.
• Presentation: Report progress and findings to relevant team members and stakeholders.
• Documentation: Document process parameters and data to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
• Stay Informed: Keep abreast of the most recent developments in utilizing in-line analytics to improve continuous manufacturing and incorporate suitable new methodologies as needed.
• Professional Development: Engage in learning opportunities offered during the Co-Op program.
Qualifications:
• Graduate student currently enrolled in a Master/PhD Program, or entering Junior/Senior in undergraduate program in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in IR/NIR spectroscopy is desired but not necessary.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
