Applied Mechanics Technical Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a talented Applied Mechanics Technical Operations Supervisor to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Power Systems Business in Seymour, Indiana, US.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leading a small technical group of supervisors and/or technicians, allocates appropriate
  • Applies basic knowledge of lab operations principles and practices to supervision of technicians with SEP Applied Mechanics lab.
  • Working with laboratory customers to understand test requirements and allocates appropriate resources to meet those requirements.
  • Ensuring that lab instrumentation is traceable, and technicians have proper training.
  • Working collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Using prescribed and innovative methods and works with limited guidance.
  • Participate as a team member and actively contributes towards team goals.
  • Carrying out partially defined and moderately complex tasks.
  • Track lab expenses and cross charges and submits monthly reports to finance
  • Supporting technicians and engineers with any troubleshooting, maintenance of applied mechanics rigs

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Demonstrated aptitude is required. A college, university, or equivalent associate's degree or certification in an Engineering Technology area is required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
