    Position summary

    rvice and follow-up.

    • Use Cummins electronic service tools and guided workflows to accurately troubleshoot and validate repair resolutions.

    • Escalate unresolved or critical issues to product specialists or supervisors while documenting all troubleshooting steps.

    • Provide mentorship and technical coaching to junior technicians and apprentices; review repair plans, tooling, and part lists.

    • Maintain proper documentation including timesheets, service reports, warranty claims, and system records through Cummins business systems.

    • Identify and report new service or product opportunities while onsite with customers.

    • Ensure cleanliness, readiness, and functionality of service vehicle and tools.

    • Adhere to all Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards; actively report incidents or unsafe conditions.

    Qualifications:

    • Education:

    • Vocational diploma or associate degree from a relevant technical institution.

    • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician certification preferred.

    • Licenses:

    • Locally valid driving permit.

    • Compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements (e.g., export control, regional certifications).

    Experience Required:

    • Significant hands-on field service experience in diesel engine systems.

    • Expert-level technical knowledge of Cummins engines and systems.

    • Experience diagnosing complex engine faults and using service diagnostic software.

    • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in field-based roles.

    • Previous experience coaching junior technicians or leading small teams (preferred).

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Skills:

    • Technical Expertise:

    • Deep understanding of engine components, fault diagnosis, and mechanical/electrical system interactions.

    • Proficient in Cummins diagnostic tools and systems (e.g., DETC, SPART, SPIC).

    • Familiarity with railway equipment and multiple engine applications.

    • Ability to interpret service manuals, logic diagrams, and wiring schematics.

    • Communication & Customer Service:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong customer handling and relationship management skills.

    • Operational & Documentation Proficiency:

    • Skilled in completing service documentation, warranty claims, and using service management systems.

    • Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite and digital tools for reporting and data entry.

    Other Requirements:

    • Field-based role; travel required to customer locations within the region.

    • Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours depending on service needs.

    • Must maintain compliance with all company, legal, and environmental policies.

    • Expertise on Tower Wagon, DEMU, Track Machine, Power Car Applications.

    • Good in Communication.

    • Expertise in Troubleshooting beyond the Engine.

    • Expertise on Railways Equipment.
