    Lead comprehensive hazard identification, environmental aspect reviews, and risk assessments to uncover improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

    Drive achievement of site HSE goals through the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced hazard prevention and control systems that proactively reduce risk.

    Build workforce capability by developing and delivering high-quality HSE training, communication, and skills development programs aligned with emerging risks and organizational needs.

    Strengthen data-driven decision-making by evaluating HSE metrics, audit results, and compliance findings to create targeted improvement plans and support yearly management system reviews.

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    Strong stakeholder partnership and communication skills to balance diverse needs, collaborate effectively, resolve conflict, and influence leaders and employees toward a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.

    Technical HSE expertise in management systems, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, root cause analysis, and implementation of sustainable risk controls that protect people and ensure legal and organizational standards are met.

    Operational excellence and continuous improvement mindset to optimize work processes, analyze performance data, interpret trends, and drive targeted HSE improvements using a structured, evidence-based approach.

    Effective training and engagement capabilities to deliver impactful instruction, motivate others, value diverse perspectives, and create an environment where employees are committed to safe behaviors and organizational objectives.

    Education/Experience:

    • College, university, or equivalent degree required. Health, Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred.

    • Professional certification in HSE-related field preferred.

    • Intermediate level of experience required, including experience in application of Industrial Safety standards and implementation of risk controls. Minimal management experience preferred.

    Additional Details:

    • Drive implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of HSE Management Systems (ISO 45001, 14001, 50001) and related corporate requirements across the site.

    • Act as a subject matter expert for HSE and energy management systems, ensuring the site maintains readiness for internal corporate audits and external certification audits.

    • Provide technical and operational support to stakeholders and functions to ensure compliance, effective risk controls, and alignment with management system expectations.

    • Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, environmental aspect evaluation, and energy risk assessments, translating findings into actionable operational controls, training needs, and improvement plans.

    • Support functional ownership and cross-functional engagement to embed HSEMS processes in daily operations, ensuring completeness and sustainability of risk management.

    • Monitor, evaluate, and report HSE and energy performance, integrating lessons learned, audit findings, and data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.

    • Develop, deliver, and maintain HSE and energy training, internal communications, and technical documentation to reinforce management system requirements and safe practices.

    • Champion positive HSE culture, influencing leaders and employees to adopt safe behaviors, and provide guidance on regulatory compliance, risk controls, and best practices.
