    Position summary

    You'll manage timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring projects meet goals and deliver sustainable risk reduction.

    Leveraging methodologies like Plan-Do-Check-Act, you'll implement innovative solutions that enhance safety and environmental practices.

    Develop People and Processes

    Through coaching, training, and creating robust policies, you'll strengthen organizational capability and compliance while fostering professional growth.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    Strong Stakeholder and Team Management Skills

    Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders while building effective, diverse teams that collaborate toward common goals.

    Technical Expertise in HSE and Risk Management

    Apply international HSE standards, conduct thorough incident investigations, perform risk assessments, and use data-driven insights to improve safety and environmental performance.

    Strategic Planning and Project Leadership

    Plan and align work with organizational goals, manage projects effectively, deliver engaging training, and champion a positive HSE culture through continuous improvement initiatives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Experience:

    • College, university, or equivalent degree required. Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental degree preferred.

    • Intermediate relevant experience required, including team leadership and project management.

    • Experience with Industrial Safety Standards preferred. 3-5 years of experience.

    Additional Details:

    • ISO 14001:2015 experience

    • Wastewater treatment system experience

    • Conduct stormwater and wastewater sampling

    • Maintain SWPP and SPCC plans and conduct appropriate inspections

    • Conduct training (classroom and hands-on) including but not limited to :

    • forklifts, scissor-lifts, pallet jacks

    • RCRA/DOT

    • New hires

    • Maintain General Permit for Stormwater and Industrial Wastewater Discharge Permits

    • Perform data collection (permit-by-rule) for Air Emissions

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets

    • Tier II filing

    • Management of Environmental Contractors

    • Input & tracking of Environmental Metrics

    • Management of Industrial Hygiene programs (Air & Noise)

    • Hazardous Communication/SDS Management

    • Waste Management (Non-Haz., Haz., & Universal Waste)

    • Manage usage & recovery logs for Ozone-depleting substances (ODS) and Refrigerants

    • Excellent people skills
