Ergonomics & Workstation Design: Create safe, ergonomic, and efficient workstations that balance cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
This Machine Safety Engineer - Manufacturing role will focus on machine Safety to reduce incident rates. Design and execute engineered shop floor solutions to improve functional safety, machine safeguarding and lifting device solutions at our diverse manufacturing workstations.
Develop engineered shopfloor solutions to eliminate hand pinch points and improve underhook safety, creating standards that can be benchmarked and implemented across all North American facilities.
Bachelor's degree (4-year), preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with a minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
CMSE (Certified Machinery Safety Expert) or equivalent certification is a plus.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of industrial safety standards (OSHA, ANSI, RIA, NFPA, ISO/EU preferred)
Travel requirements are estimated at 25%, on an as-needed basis.
Strong AutoCad experience in any of these tools: AutoCad, Solidworks or Pro-E required to create, review, and improve engineering drawings
