    Position summary

    • Assist customers, technicians, and internal staff in sourcing and securing required parts and supplies

    • Perform customer parts counter duties, including answering calls, helping walk-in customers, and processing transactions

    • Utilize catalogs, systems, and resources to accurately identify parts and provide alternatives when needed

    • Maintain an organized parts area and warehouse, including stocking, receiving, inventory tasks, and core processing

    • Mentor and assist less experienced parts personnel when needed

    • Participate in continuous improvement activities and support safety standards

    • Uphold Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:

    Strong customer focus and communication skills

    • Ability to work efficiently, multitask, and follow defined processes

    • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and systems used for order processing

    • Experience sourcing complex parts and collaborating with technicians

    • Knowledge of inventory control, order life cycle processes, and warehouse operations

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Prior parts or warehouse experience

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The hours for this position are in Day Shift, regularly between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm but hours could shift due to business needs.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to work in the warehouse (pulling parts, putting stock parts away, maintaining the warehouse parts organized, etc.) but this position will also be required to drive to deliver parts to customers at least one day a week, which represents about 30% of this job.

    This role will also support Back Counter and Front Counter parts duties whenever requested or when one of the Team members is out on PTO or LOA.

    This role will also be assigned to complete Monthly Safety Inspections and turn them in to the GM of this facility to be processed.

    DOT

    • A current valid license is required for this role

    • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations

    • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

    • 3 years driving experience

    • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

    -Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

    Education, Licenses, Certifications:

    High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

    Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills.

    This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    Experience:

    Requires significant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
