RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Supporting new product development teams by assessing best materials to be used in line with Cummins sustainability and quality goals.
Assisting Cummins in working towards sustainability goals by selecting and validating best materials to achieve demanding functional requirements whilst minimizing environmental impact.
Manage quality by conducting failure analysis testing on parts to directly inform customer protection actions or supplier quality management actions.
Collaborating with global internal and external cross-functional stakeholders, understanding initial requirements and presenting conclusions and recommendations following completion of testing.
Creating new and developing further existing testing processes for materials and components.
Work on long-term investigative projects on product across the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
We are looking for a wide range of candidates studying towards a materials and engineering based degrees.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to use your own initiative.
Ability to analyse and interpret data using applications such as Excel.
Excellent communication and time management skills with desire to learn.
