    Position summary

    rt processing of internal engineering work requests and documentation updates.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product design and development activities.

    • Participate in structured training, apprenticeship programs, and learning sessions to build technical expertise.

    • Contribute to design tasks and project deliverables during team rotations.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Mechanical Design Modeling & Analysis - Ability to create CAD models aligned with organizational standards and support system-level analysis.

    • Mechanical System Design Knowledge - Understanding of mechanical systems and lifecycle requirements to support robust design solutions.

    • Engineering Specification Development - Ability to create detailed drawings, bills of materials, and product specifications.

    • Product Configuration & Change Management - Basic understanding of configuration control, engineering change processes, and lifecycle management.

    Experience

    • External Candidates: Minimal or no prior work experience required.

    • Internal Candidates:

    • Experience in design and drafting using tools such as Creo .

    • Working knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) .

    • Familiarity with product change management processes.

    Qualifications

    Education, Licenses & Certifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent in a relevant STEM field is required.

    • Must meet eligibility requirements for entry into a formal apprenticeship or training program.

    • Enrollment in a regionally recognized apprenticeship or technical training program is required.

    • May require compliance with export control or sanctions regulations.

    (Internal Candidates)

    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

    • Typically requires 5-6 years of experience in design and drafting.
