We are looking for a talented Project Manager to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Accelera Business in Mississauga, ON / your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Manages, develops, and implements projects of varying complexity and size within the assigned functional area and collaborates with business stakeholders for successful project completion.
  • Leads multiple projects from inception to completion, facilitates project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to define project scope and establishes project performance goals and track progress against them.
  • Identifies, track, and proactively resolve project issues while working collaboratively with the team to find effective solutions.
  • Plans and monitor project budgets. Conduct research and analysis to ensure financial objectives are met and communicate project status regularly to the project team.
  • Manages project risk using quality tools and share team learnings with other groups to enhance overall project success. Maintains project records and communicate regularly with the Project Sponsor and stakeholders on project status.
  • Identifies and assign appropriate resources to project tasks. Guides and coach team members throughout the project, providing developmental feedback.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Schedule Management - Manages the project schedule using the recommended project management tools and processes to drive completion within the agreed timeline.
  • Scope Management - Manages a list of project deliverables (scope) using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required and only the work required to complete the project successfully.
  • Project Resource Management - Develops resource (expense and headcount) plans using recommended project management tools and processes to manage resources effectively.
  • Project Issue and Risk Management - Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • 5 -10 years of experience in a Project management role in the automotive industry, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Experience in management of multidisciplinary teams, related to production/power generation market and business is valuable.
  • Knowledge of MS Project and other relevant Project management tools.
