Position summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Power Generation Team based in the Laguna Office. This position will be reporting to the South East Asia Project Management Manager and will be the key appointment to manage the Power Generation Projects for the Philippines.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead multiple power generation projects from inception to completion; facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project; work with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals; design project plan, develop timeline, identify project milestones, and track performance against performance goals and timeline.
  • Involved in the tendering stage to provide site execution requirements and budget preparation
  • Prepare budget based on the scope of work and resource requirement and track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Manage project risk; use quality tools to identify areas of risk, work with others on the team and outside the team to identify alternatives or solutions.
  • Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other project team experiences to enhance the success of the project. Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on the status of specific projects and assignments.
  • Establish testing and commissioning schedule with reference from customer Master Schedule
  • Liaise with customer, building management on site related activities and proactively engage with internal stakeholders to ensure on-time equipment delivery, take ownership of installation, testing and commissioning schedule and its related activities
  • Manage contract with vendors and suppliers by assigning task and communicating expecting deliverables and to utilize industry best practices, technique and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Management of direct reports who will be supporting the project team
  • Weekly meetings with Management to update on the project progress and to establish forecast finance report for the project
  • Travelling to customer sites will be required

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Degree / Diploma in Project Management/Engineering or Management disciplines with demonstrated experience of extensive project management with first-class communication and negotiating skills

  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, planning, controlling & managing resources and overseeing projects through the full life cycle

  • Experience in managing direct reports

  • Experience managing USD100K to USD5mill cross country projects

  • Strong Communication skills across different audiences

  • Have the ability to work under operational pressure in a fast-paced, tight schedule environment, and be able to work as part of a collaborative team

  • Experience in Power Generation, Generator Business / Environment is preferred
