Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to begin a new project starting from scratch for the new PEM electrolyzer plant which will house system assembly and testing for approximately 500 MW/year and will be scalable to more than 1 GW/year.

This is an onsite role at our new manufacturing plant in Guadalajara working with our New Power business unit.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Assisting production in the development of process flow, manufacturing layouts, SOP’s process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and control plans, on new and existing production process to ensure all arising issues are effectively communicated to the team and actioned accordingly.
  • Defining and developing work instructions for new and existing processes to ensure standardisation across all areas of production.
  • Reviewing production metrics to identify key areas for cost saving and to lead cross-functional teams to define and implement improvements, applying industry standard problem solving and waste reduction methodologies.
  • Implementing process controls and manufacturing systems to improve production performance as required.
  • Working closely with quality to ensure process capability and compliance.
  • Influence, train and mentor operational staff within change management to embrace new methodology and processes to increase performance.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Business fluent in Spanish and English – Verbal and Written
  • Experienced in Six Sigma Methodologies, LEAN Process Management, LEAN Manufacturing Tools (Kaisen) and Process Problem Solving
