    In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:

    Customer Issue Management: Responsible for managing systems related to plant customer issues, including corrective requests and leading containment activities.

    Quality Assurance: Ensure that products and processes meet both initial and long-term quality standards, including IATF, customer-specific requirements, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Product Parts Approval Process (PPAP) documentation submissions.

    Change Management: Lead and support change management activities for current products and Value Package Introduction (VPI). Verify products and processes to ensure key measures are met and analyze data to support decision-making.

    Quality Audits: Support and/or lead quality audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

    Technical Resource: Serve as a quality technical resource to other functional areas, providing guidance and expertise.

    Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor less experienced team members in quality practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

    Continuous Improvement: Lead the prioritization of continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional business partners, utilizing proven methodologies such as lean manufacturing, 7-step problem solving, and Intelligent Quality Tools and Methods (IQTM).

    Core Tools Application: Apply a basic understanding of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) core tools in daily operations.

    Safe Launch Initiatives: Lead and/or support Safe Launch initiatives through VPI to ensure successful product introductions.

    Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP):

    • Experience leading technical quality planning initiatives, ensuring customer satisfaction through structured and measurable processes aligned with industry standards.

    Measurement Science:

    • Proficient in analyzing measurement processes across the traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty in various applied measurement sciences (e.g., Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, Radiation, and Physical).

    Problem Solving:

    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to mentor others in systematic analysis processes. Utilizes industry-standard methodologies to create problem traceability, determine assignable causes, implement robust data-driven solutions, and identify systemic root causes to prevent recurrence.

    Vision and Purpose:

    • Capable of articulating a compelling vision and strategy that motivates and inspires others to take action.

    Project Management:

    • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a balance of scope, schedule, and resources for projects, ensuring that results and impacts are fully realized.

    • Proficient in applying quality tools and methods (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability Studies, Process Audits, Inspection, Testing) to ensure the quality of products, processes, and services.

    • Utilizes quality tools and processes to ensure the quality management system is effectively understood, implemented, and maintained, consistently delivering products/services that meet requirements.

    • Applies statistical tools and techniques to influence decision-making, leveraging data collection methods and analytical techniques to describe process performance and drive improvement actions.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: Demonstrated role competence is required. College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Intermediate level of experience required. Preferably 3-5 years' experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management role in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry. Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing or quality experience required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    On-site presence essential for this Quality Engineer role at the Upfit Center in De Pere, WI.

    Responsibility is focused on manufacturing quality (also includes aspects of customer and supplier quality), with an emphasis on improving RFT and BIS.

    Interface with other functions to resolve quality issues and lead problem resolution project management teams.

    Ensure products and processes comply with quality standards, including ISO-9001 and customer-specific requirements.

    Lead and support change management activities and quality audits.

    Coach and mentor less experienced team members in quality practices.

    Assist in problem identification, root cause analysis, and corrective action documentation.

    Knowledge/Experience with De Pere products a plus (Power Gen, Fire Pump, Rail)
