    Position summary

    and managing part change requests will help minimize excess and obsolete inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources.

    • Improving Supplier Performance : Supporting the Deliver Supplier Improvement Process initiative will enhance supplier performance metrics, contributing to overall operational efficiency.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Materials Planning System Utilization : Use the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans, taking long-term corrective actions based on root cause analysis. Occasionally, you may need to use tools like Excel, Access, TOAD, or OMS for problem-solving, but the materials planning system will be your primary tool.

    • Part Change Control Management : Evaluate and implement engineering change requests to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. This ensures that changes are managed efficiently and effectively.

    • Plan for Every Part (PFEP) : Apply PFEP principles to ensure the right part is delivered at the right time, in the right quantity, and to the right place. This involves managing systems and processes within the facility and across the supply chain.

    • Master Supply Scheduling : Establish and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule that meets customer expectations and maximizes operational efficiency. Ensure alignment between procurement, production, and replenishment planning.

    • Materials KPI Management : Operate based on recent or historical outputs compared to organizational expectations. Assess gaps in supply chain performance and interpret KPIs to understand their impact on the end customer. Strategically balance trade-offs to influence KPIs while minimizing negative impacts.

    • Valuing Differences : Recognize and appreciate the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization. This will help you build a more inclusive and innovative work environment.

    Education:

    High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

    College, University or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

    This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

    Experience:

    Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Oversee system alignments between customer and CMI

    • Review and action short term critical needs

    • Maintain system integrity

    • Monitor and setup expedites as needed

    • Position will be full time on site at CSLC (Cummins Starkville Logistics Center) at maturity
