Clients. You will work with CVS Caremark Medicare Health Plan clients, providing guidance and analytics, including consultations on formulary decisions, plan design, rebate strategies, and impacts of regulatory changes. You will work with other departments internally to support our Medicare Health Plan clients through the annual Medicare bid process.
You will work with internal partners to support our Health Plan clients and responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with internal CVS Caremark teams to support clients' initiatives
Analyzing lowest net cost strategies
Developing and maintaining models to support analytics
Quantifying the impact of legislative and regulatory changes in the Medicare Part D landscape
Developing various ad hoc analyses for clients
Presenting analyses and recommendations to Medicare clients
To be successful, you will possess strong consultative and analytical skills, as well as the ability to develop relationships within/outside of the Actuarial Services Department. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving, writing and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate and consult effectively with both internal and external clients. You should have the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment, as well as independently.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of Actuary experience, including proven ability to communicate and consult effectively with internal or external clients
Minimum 1 years SAS experience
Accredited Actuary is required (Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 7 years of Health Insurance experience, including proven ability to communicate and consult effectively with internal or external clients
Minimum 5 years' experience working directly with healthcare client data analyzing pharmacy claims or other relevant data analysis
Experience with Medicare Part D, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid
Intimate knowledge of the healthcare industry
Outstanding verbal/written communications, presentation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Python experience
Some minimal travel may be required

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $149,300.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
