    • Perform Preventative Maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility
    • Works from blueprints, schematic drawings, sketches or layouts
    • Works with manufacturer technical support departments to troubleshoot system failures
    • Selects appropriate materials and operates equipment to complete work, including electrical hand tools and voltage or ampere measuring devices

    -Repairs, maintains, and installs minor and major electrical systems and fixtures

    -Moves, installs and adjusts fixtures, motors and other electrical / mechanical equipment

    -Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit

    -Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads

    -Tests electrical equipment for safety

    -Perform preventative maintenance service to machinery and equipment

    -Performs other duties as assigned

    We are currently searching for a qualified Industrial Electrician to work in The CVS Chemung Distribution Center. This position is responsible for repairs and maintenance both electrical and mechanical/technical aspects of the building, machinery and equipment.

    • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.

    • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment

    • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables

    • malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Machine Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker to diagnose malfunction

    • Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices.

    • Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors

    • Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings

    • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machine and equipment

    • Other duties may be assigned

    • Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as AC/DC and servomotors, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.
      • May perform a variety of electrical/mechanical tests to determine exact cause of issue
      • Performs necessary maintenance to the equipment and machinery to repair or replace the defective parts
      • Perform adjustments and calibration procedures on various forms of process equipment
      • Perform Preventative Maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility
      • Make necessary electrical installations and/or repairs
      • Works with each department providing necessary support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved
      • Maintain a written or electronic log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage

    2nd Shift: Monday through Friday 3:30PM till 11:30PM

    Starting Rate: $19/hr +Anticipated Weekly Hours

    The typical pay range for this role is:$18.50 - $31.72This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
