Job Description
The Executive Director of Healthcare Insights Strategy & Analytics Innovation will build and lead a team to unleash transformative value from data, interactions and experience across the CVS Ecosystem for an assigned segment of Healthcare stakeholders (Pharma, Health Plans, Providers and Health Systems, Government).
The person in this role will be analytically curious, an intellectual powerhouse and be able to frame, investigate and answer key business questions through a combination of research and analytics capabilities. The role will mine and generate innovative, meaningful insights from vast amounts of healthcare data to impact customer decision making, patient operational processes and engagement, business performance and customer experience. They possess the influence and confidence to stand behind their data driven recommendations and creating huge value for customers and their business strategy.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to the customer segment. The successful candidate will be a storyteller of the right nuggets of information and excel in their ability to visualize and communicate complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Build, mentor and guide Insights teams as they develop novel analytics solutions and productize data science efforts that enhance the intelligence of our solutions offering.
•Act as strategic partner internally as well as with customers to frame, investigate, translate complex data related models, and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of Commercial and Medical brand strategies, opportunities and tactics
•Influence customer commercial and medical brand teams via compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable KPIs, findings, recommendations on now only what the data is point to but uncover the insights behind why
•Synthesize analytics into easy-to-consume storylines, both visually and verbally, and provide indicated actions for executive as well as mid-level customer audiences.
•Serve as a translator to technical and Data Science teams, instituting best practices while crafting a data-driven culture, developing, and mentoring members of the team
•Act as a consultant and advisor, leading customer brands teams to hypothesize, test and launch new channels for sharing and productizing data insights, creating a competitive advantage for CVS
•Stay up to date on relevant research, including health industry trends and benchmarks, and become a contributing thought leader in analytics.
•Partner with Data Science COE and Product teams to ask the right business questions, focus on uncovering meaningful insights and translate output of AI and machine learning models into a compelling story for customers.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 170,000
Maximum: 325,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
•10+ years of Healthcare experience in the related Customer Segment (Pharma, Health Plans, Health Systems/Care Delivery and Public Health/Government) is required.
•Technical acumen and leadership to include developing strategy and vision for a highly technical Data, IT and Data Science team, driving towards success.
•Experience engaging with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders across levels of seniority.
•Proven ability to transform data and insights into compelling business cases, utilizing a strong storytelling style.
•Ability to identify, prioritize and describe relevant caveats and uncertainties in research, analytic projects, including how they relate to the business question and broader strategic priorities
•Recognized expertise and coach to others on connecting, integrating, and synthesizing analysis into a meaningful ‘so what’ to drive clear strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making
•Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
•Proven ability to act as a strategic partner with the capacity to quickly establish relationships of trust, credibility, and be seen as a driving partner to commercial clients
Preferred Qualifications
•Master's degree will be valued
•A background in healthcare informatics and data visualization applications is preferred.
