    Position summary

    ilitate the design and implementation of integrated category-level price and value strategies that drive customer value perception in alignment with category roles and overall sales, trip, and margin objectives. You will work within the Price & Value team, partnering with peer-experts focused on innovating and executing everyday pricing, promotion, and coupon strategies as well as category merchants responsible for overall front store category strategy and financials. You'll also have the opportunity to gather internal and market data, conduct robust analyses, develop customer and category insights, test & learn, and deploy refined price & value strategies within the CVS Pharmacy front store business. Successful candidates will be strategic thinkers with the ability to structure and solve complex problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Clear, compelling storytelling with the ability to impact and influence stakeholders at all levels will also be critical to this role.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Lead a team of 2-4 direct reports

    • Structure and execute robust internal and external customer & category analysis to identify opportunities to drive customer value perception

    • Develop and evaluate alternative scenarios via business case development, P&L proformas or expected results / success criteria

    • Develop and implement category-level test & learn agendas including hypotheses, test design, measurement & implications for the business

    • Facilitate and build category-level pricing and promotional strategies that are aligned to merchant category strategies, roles & intent

    • Create and manage multi-dimensional, multi-year roadmaps and implementation plans, including reporting & measurement to continually refine results

    • Build trusted and collaborative relationships with colleagues across the Front Store organization including merchandising, marketing, loyalty, store operations, data science

    • Present facts and recommendations in a compelling story that brings audiences along, in forums that include structured working sessions and leadership strategy discussions

    Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years of relevant experience in either Management Consulting or Retail/CPG

    • Merchandising familiarity - understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e., Category Management), and merchandising organizational structures and processes

    • Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

    • Experience leading, developing, and managing a team

    • Analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to concisely present to senior leaders and build trust

    • Willingness and ability to travel up to (25%)

    • Ability to operate in an ambiguous, innovative environment

    • Ability to learn quickly and think critically in white space

    • Ability to create & tell a compelling story telling across teams & levels

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Consulting experience

    • MBA

    • Team Leadership experience

    • Previous Management Consulting experience for a top tier firm

    • Specific experience in Retail category management, CPG, or vendor management leading strategic commercial projects with significant business impact

    • Retail/CPG experience and/or experience analyzing large customer / transaction data sets

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $100,000.00 - $231,540.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
