The Senior Manager leads a team of engineers, architects, and developers to deliver various store hardware and software technologies, platforms, applications, and tools that are used across 9000+ stores across nation.
Additional Responsibilities include:
Identify opportunities for technology improvements, improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness, and innovative solutions to help achieve business benefits through technology.
Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams to properly plan and sustain healthy well performing in store and central h/w and s/w technologies.
Provide input to business management teams regarding improvement goals for business divisions or functions that can be achieved through technical solutions.
Coordinate with other cross functional leaders within the IT and business leaders to ensure holistic application solution designs to meet business needs.
Assist in Programs to ramp new teams into solution architecture.
Proactively work to reduce costs and improve productivity (continuous improvement).
Create, implement, and ensure measures for successful execution, including Solution development standards, policies, processes, procedures and controls.
Ensure the team is diligent in creating thorough solution documentation that can be used as input into future development tasks and training.
Research existing technology solutions for appropriateness and reuse.
Perform analysis to identify and vet potential technology solutions.
Lead diverse individuals in both business and technology through the product evaluation process.
Influence stakeholders across both business and technology.
Document process findings, risks and recommendations.
Drive consensus and arbitrate business demands within architecture with the cooperation of business teams or partners.
Communicate technology opportunity, operational and structural problems through the combined lens of architecture, development, partners, and infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Overall 10 years IT experience with leadership experience in an Infrastructure Architecture environment, leading large teams, and overseeing technical work groups including providing technical direction and mentoring junior team members.
Retail Infrastructure Experience (POS, Rx, Mobile, Printers, Scanners, Servers, Routers, Modems, Wi-Fi, AP etc.)
Manage Team of Engineers (8~10) as direct reports (> 5 Years)
Solution Architecture Experience
Extensive X86 HW experience
Experience with Containerization (Docker preferred) & Virtualization (KVM preferred)
Experience with Citrix XenApp Application Virtualization & Workspace One
Networking experience including SDWAN & Layers 1-3
Linux Server / Workstation experience (> 5 years)
Understanding of Wi-Fi / Access Points (>7 years)
Experience with CradlePoint 5G/LTE Modems (>2 Years)
Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience, AirWatch preferred.
Android & IOS Mobile Device experience, Android preferred.
Microsoft Windows Desktop experience
MariaDB & PostgreSQL experience
Knowledge of Radius, LDAP & Certificate Authorities
Knowledge of Bind DNS, DHCP, NTP and Proxy
Experience with Apache & Tomcat
Knowledge of VPN, GRE and IPSec Tunneling
Knowledge with Firewalls & IP Tables
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Experience in Healthcare environment (> 5 Years)
Prior EPIC EMR knowledge / experience
Knowledge of SiteMinder
Experience with DevSecOps tools like Jenkins, Maven, GIT, Checkmarx, Nexus, Ansible or ADO Board, Rally etc.
Proficient with Agile methodology and automation mindset.
Education
Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering degree or Masters or equivalent work experience
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
