Senior Manager, Pharmaceutical Contracting

• Evaluate pharmaceutical manufacturer bid proposals and model current and projected rates to recommend strategic formulary approaches.

• Negotiate and manage contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers, ensuring compliance, tracking performance metrics, and resolving disputes.

• Collaborate with Finance to analyze market trends, pricing structures, and financial data to optimize contract terms and deliver cost savings.

• Provide strategic direction to account management and manufacturer negotiations to control drug and medical supply costs.

• Partner with internal teams-including Trade Strategy and Operations, Legal, and Finance -to align contracting strategies with organizational goals.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers to foster innovation and partnership.

• Deliver ongoing recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in PBM, healthcare delivery, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or contracting.

• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in manipulating datasets using Microsoft Excel.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.

• Demonstrated success in planning, execution, and delivery of complex initiatives.

• Business intelligence acumen with a strategic mindset.

• Ability to travel 10 - 20% as needed

Education

• Bachelor's degree required/specialized training/relevant professional qualification. PharmD degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:$67,900.00 - $199,144.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
