The CVS Total Search team is looking for an experienced Senior SEO Manager who will bring an in-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and a proven record in managing, optimizing, and growing organic search presence for large brands.The Senior SEO Manager will be responsible for owning organic search efforts, improving search visibility, and increasing site traffic and sales. This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, with a primary focus on achieving tangible business results. In this role, you will collaborate with the SEO team to execute quarterly and annual organic search strategies and partner with the Search and SEO Products, Paid Search, and Content teams for successful implementation. Additionally, the Senior SEO Manager will collaborate with business owners, marketing teams, agencies, and analytics partners to drive collaborative strategies, identify opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the program.The ideal candidate has a strong domain knowledge in SEO, excels at building cross-functional partnerships, and uses data and insights to inform search strategies and drive positive business outcomes.Job Responsibilities
Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy across core businesses (Front Store, Pharmacy, and Health Services)
Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and user experience
Conduct keyword and competitive research to identify new growth opportunities
Perform regular SEO audits to identify and resolve technical issues
Own the SEO content strategy, collaborating with internal and external partners to drive measurable impact and evolving the approach in response to search changes
Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with Content Marketing to identify and expose content gaps, using data to influence content productions
Support Search and SEO Products teams in aligning with best practices and relevant PI planning initiatives
Collaborate closely with the SEM team to develop a comprehensive search strategy for expanded reach and cross-channel impact
Reporting
Leadership
Serve as a subject matter expert on SEO
Lead a small team of in-house or agency SEO professionals
Inspire and motivate others, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
7+ years of hands-on tactical and strategic experience in SEO with a focus on results-driven programs
5+ years of eCommerce expertise with experience across all channels
3+ years of SEO content experience driving business results through content development
3+ years of experience leading an SEO team (agency or in-house)
Must be able to work onsite 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in SEO strategies spanning across Product, Content, and Local, aimed at driving traffic and sales growth
In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices
Expert-level analytical and critical thinking skills, including using measurement and analyzing large datasets
Experience in reporting on SEO performance and presenting ideas, updates, and results to business partners at various levels
"Test & learn" mindset with the ability to make decisions and pivot quickly
Strong prioritization skills, focusing on critical tasks, communicating, and aligning conflicting priorities, and proposing solutions
Excellent communications skills and experience cultivating relationships and collaborating with agency partners and cross-functional teams
Proficiency in using SEO tools and analytics platforms (Google Search Console, Adobe, SEOClarity, SEMRush, Botify, Screaming Frog, etc.) to track, analyze, and interpret data to make data-driven decisions and optimizations
eCommerce expertise with experience managing both paid and organic search programs is a plus
Experience in Retail, E-commerce, or Healthcare preferred, though open to other industries
Education
BA/BS, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experiencePay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:$82,940.00 - $199,144.80
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
