Sr. Manager, Sourcing and Contracting

nager will also manage Manufacturer relationships and have direct accountability for the proper execution of the Manufacturer-GPO product agreement most notably the redlining process.

As part of the founding team, the Manager will partner with senior leadership to implement strategic plans for the pharmaceutical portfolio providing insight to manufacturer pipelines and sourcing opportunities.  The Manager will also be responsible for auditing and ensuring the contract compliance while presenting outcomes during Manufacturer quarterly business reviews.

A successful Manager possesses an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated history of strategic and creative contract negotiation and implementation; an ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures; a deep understanding of analytical and audit skills enabling nimble reporting in a changing data environment; and excellent communication and prioritization skills to operate in a lean startup.

The Sr. Manager Sourcing & Contracting will report directly to the Director Trade Sourcing & Contracting**.**

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare-related operating experience, preferably in a large-scaled, specialty contracting, strategic account management and/or other relevant product contracting settings.

• Healthcare experience could include any number of segments including pharmacy, biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, data aggregation, pharmacy benefit management, distribution, and group purchasing.

• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution

• Demonstrated history of implementing procurement strategies and contractual mechanics

• Demonstrated history of identifying and implementing programs to grow and retain internal and external relationships

• Strategic expertise in navigating core contractual elements alongside subject matter experts

• Strong analytical skills, with an ability to monitor, audit, and resolve contractual compliance issues

• Proactive and highly collaborative, collegial approach with demonstrated ability to lead colleagues to achieve a common goal without direct authority.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

• Ability to travel 10%-15% as business needs require (https://i.e., quarterly in-person team meetings).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience and deep understanding of biosimilar market trends and dynamics

• Understanding of the end-to-end operational processes of a GPO; the operational role within the GPO and interactions with Manufacturer partners and Wholesalers.

• Advanced relevant degrees (https://e.g., MBA)

Education

Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,https://900.00 - $146,https://400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
