    Position summary

    earnings. Performs underwriting analysis and risk assessment for new and/or renewal of large group contracts and accountings.

    Responsibilities:

    • Applies in-depth knowledge of the Underwriter field to offer feedback for decisions and innovation strategies that enhance organizational growth and visibility for Stop Loss.

    • Reviews work for accuracy and recommends pricing and/or accounting alternatives based on financial analysis, underwriting principals, and business strategy.

    • Conducts audits on premiums, fees and claim wires to ensure all receivables are accounted for and accurate.

    • Working knowledge of business intelligence

    • Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills

    • Adept at collaboration and teamwork

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • 3+ years of UW work experience in Stop Loss
    • Delivers complex, new business Stop Loss quotes and existing business renewals to manage risk while growing and retaining membership.
    • 3+ years experience coaching more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
    • 3+ years experience with establishing and implementing results-based programs and innovative initiatives for the Underwriter area, under general supervision.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience and/or exposure to stop loss rating tools and processes as well as evaluating risk associated with the Stop Loss product.

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree preferred.

    The typical pay range for this role is:$60,300.00 - $145,860.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
