Overview

This position will be responsible for the design and development of Cross-Product Valuation platform in Enterprise Risk Technology. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll propose the design and architecture of the application (or its components), investigate, and propose appropriate technologies to be used, create re-usable frameworks, and drive standardization where possible. It will be a hands-on development role using Java 8, Hazel cast distributed cache. You’ll create Micro-services in Spring Rest and Java, JEE and multi-threading/low-latency paradigms. This is a great opportunity to be part of a cross functional agile feature team and to expand one’s knowledge base on Investment banking, while ensuring the delivery of team is of a top-notch quality with automation being the driver.

What You’ll Do

  • Foster cross team communication and guide continuous backlog refinement with the team

  • Facilitate all Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, Retrospectives, and daily stand-ups

  • Foster continuous collaboration; continuously collaborate and communicate across all functions supporting agile team execution

  • Face-off between the development team and product owner group; Keep the status and progress of stories up to date in JIRA

  • Produce sprint and release progress / status reports as required for senior stakeholders, project working groups and steering committees

  • Maintain Risk and Issues logs and work with the product owner group to feed in new stories that arise from issues or risks into the product back log

Skills You’ll Need

  • Experience with Java and Oracle

  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), relational database, oracle, and PL/SQL

  • Experience working in an agile environment, practicing Scrum, Kanban, or XP, and SAFe

  • Familiar with JIRA

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $95k to $140k. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
