This position will be responsible for the design and development of RF-DS platform in Enterprise Risk Technology. It will be a hands-on development role on Hadoop technology, leveraging technologies such as Hive, Spark, Scala, and Impala.

What You’ll Do
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain a large mission-critical Information Technology (IT) system managing 1PB of valuation, risk, trade, and reference data
Collaborate with users and technical teams in London
Plan and deliver solution in 2-week sprints and 5 sprints in a SAFe Program Increment
Work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities with a constant focus on delivery
Balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility
Skills You’ll Need
Experience with architectural design patterns, highly optimized, low latency, massively scalable platforms, source control (Git), build tools (Maven), and continuous integration (TeamCity/Jenkins)
Understanding of concurrency, distributed systems development, and performance optimization
Knowledge of large-scale big data clusters in the Market risk space and enterprise platforms, knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux, Unix Operating systems, and associated add-on technology stacks
Proficiency in administrating Big Data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Hive, Yarn, Oozie, Kafka, HBase, Apache stack), defining highly scalable platform architecture, and migrating big scale platforms to Cloud (Global Control Program (GCP), AWS, or AZURE)
Experience with Scripting skills (Python, Perl, shell) and working in massive programs within a geographically distributed environment
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and ability to communicate directly with peers, managers, and clients while facilitating development of a completed and successful solution
Knowledge of relevant market risk, quantitative, analytical, confident, articulate, enthusiastic and able to operate independently
Excellent problem-solving skills in a distributed, multi-technology ecosystem
A willingness to learn all layers of the Market Risk stack, including trialing new tech and auto deployment tools
Be able to collaboratively deliver front-to-back solutions, as well as champion best practice deployment techniques
