Overview
The Structured Lending and Financial Sponsor (FS) team is looking for a Structured Lending Officer to serve as Director. As the Structured Lending Officer, you will be responsible for analyzing, negotiating, and closing new Structured and FS transactions for Wealth Management (WM) clients and suitable prospects within the Structured Lending Group. You will supervise the annual review of Structured/FS loans and guarantors.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain strong internal relationships to drive lending activity
Work closely with Coverage Team members to identify commercial real estate lending opportunities that help the client or prospect meet their financing needs and objectives. Work closely with the junior lenders to analyze and underwrite potential loans
Work with Business Risk Management (BRM) to properly structure and price the loan
Draft the term sheet and amend same based upon feedback from the client and BRM
Work with the Service Officers to ensure that the loans are properly set up on Deutsche Bank systems
Manage expectations through strong communication with the clients and Coverage Teams
Your Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred
Relevant experience in Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) lending and credit analysis in a private or commercial bank and Commercial Real Estate finance experience
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize time sensitive tasks efficiently. Ability to work effectively without supervision and with team members in other locations
Solid interpersonal skills and strong writing skills. Drive and enthusiasm to succeed and to contribute to a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and general finance
How You’ll Lead:
Take the lead for conducting due diligence and analysis on the collateral and guarantor, for preparing Credit Approval Memorandums and for obtaining BRM approval
In cooperation with the Legal Department, take the lead to engage and work with legal counsel to prepare and review loan documentation and coordinate borrower negotiations
Coordinate, as needed, with Coverage Teams, BRM, and Portfolio Management to maintain compliance with the loan documentation and covenants and annual review requirements
Expectations
The salary range for this position in New York City is $170,000 to $300,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration
