Cloud Engineering

Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end to end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Work you’ll do

• Collaborate with teams across the technical landscape, including development, devops, infrastructure, and SRE teams
• Define SLOs, collate key metrics, and create custom dashboards to support business-driven objectives
• Configure problem triggers & alerts to integrate with Incident Management tools and provide meaningful feedback to stakeholders without introducing unnecessary noise
• Provide monitoring recommendations and proactively address items before they become problems
• Leverage REST APIs to automate repeatable tasks and to develop self-healing modules for production systems
• Onboard applications onto Dynatrace, providing custom configurations specific to each application’s needs
• Deploy and manage Dynatrace at scale, in distributed environments
• Integrate Dynatrace with other 3rd party and legacy tools to help automate manual activities

Qualifications

Required:

• Passionate about using APM and Observability to bring value to customers / teams
• 2+ years of experience with Observability and APM technologies / best practices
• Experience working with Dynatrace or an equivalent APM/Observability tool
• Dynatrace Certified Associate (or equivalent APM Certification)
• Experience with DevOps and SRE activities / best practices
• Proficiency with a at least two scripting languages – preferably Java, .NET, Go, PHP, or JS
• Proficiency in automating processes and integrating tools using REST APIs
• Experience using Linux or Unix operating systems
• Fundamental knowledge of networking, databases, web applications, and backend services, and how they all interact within distributed systems
• Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP

Preferred:

• Experience in implementing, customizing, and managing Dynatrace

• Dynatrace Certified Professional

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience automating CI/CD processes using languages such as Python, Groovy, etc.

• Experience with OpenTelemetry

• Experience with Kubernetes / Docker / OpenShift

• Experience with Windows operating systems

• Experience implementing IaC using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
