As a Lead Software Engineer in our Hybrid-Operate group, you'll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries.
Work you'll do
The key job responsibilities will be to:
Lead the product development efforts and provide technical guidance to junior team members
Analyze and implement user requirements/business needs as new and/or enhanced product functionality
Architect new solutions
Help and manage the effort related to migration of the current solution to the latest .NET core technology stack and modernize the architecture
Design, code, test, and document software code
Supervise and manage other programming resources (note, however, that this is a line position primarily involving software development on a daily basis, not just a full-time management position)
Assist in the packaging and delivery of finished software products to clients
Communicate with technical and business leaders on business requirements, system-related capabilities, programming progress, and enhancement status
Help support day to day client engagements as it related to solution hosting and delivery
Help support software sales efforts through presentations for, and technical discussions with, clients and prospective clients
The desired candidate is an organized, self-driven individual with a proven ability to achieve development objectives. They will have the ability to work be successful while working independently or as part of a team and will be able to adapt quickly to shifts in priorities and/objectives. Lastly, they will be passionate about learning and applying their technical skills and experiences to solve real-world problems, and possess strong listening, verbal, & written communication skills.
The Team
Our Financial Technology practice develops and licenses a growing family of proprietary software products to assist financial institutions with a number of complex topics, such as accounting for credit deteriorated assets and the administration of investments in leveraged loans. Qualifications
Required:
Master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years architecting complex enterprise solutions
5+ years of experience developing web-based client/server applications
4+ years of experience managing and/or leading a software development team
3+ years of experience developing modern solutions based on .NET core platform
Experience developing software using OOP concepts, architecture, and design
Experience working with Microsoft's ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API and ASP.NET Core Framework, especially using C# language
Experience with JavaScript (TypeScript or ECMAScript 7+) and at least one of the JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Ext JS, Angular or React)
Experience with developing and using REST or GRPC APIs
Experience in developing cloud-based applications (e.g. Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) using micro-services architecture
Exposure to docker or any containerization technologies
Experience in DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
Preferred:
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server
Experience working with NoSQL Databases (e.g. MongoDB)
Experience using GIT for source control.
Experience mentoring and leading other developers.
Experience developing solutions based on leading open source cloud platforms dealing with big data like Apache Spark, etc.
Experience in building and maintaining fully automated Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Experience with various reporting solutions like Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, PowerBI, Tableau, etc. would be a plus.
